General Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Secure Home Slotenservice. Below you will find our general terms and conditions. These apply to all services we provide, such as opening doors, replacing locks, and burglary prevention.

Article 1 – Definitions
Contractor: Secure Home Slotenservice.
Client: any natural person or legal entity using our services.
Agreement: any arrangement between the client and the contractor.

Article 2 – Applicability
These general terms and conditions apply to all offers, services, and agreements.
Any deviations are only valid if agreed upon in writing.

Article 3 – Services
The contractor provides locksmith services, including:
-
opening doors
-
replacing and repairing locks
-
burglary prevention and advice
All work is carried out to the best of our knowledge and ability.

Article 4 – Prices and Transparency
All prices include VAT, labor, and call-out charges, unless stated otherwise.
The contractor aims to provide transparent pricing in advance.
If additional work is required, this will be discussed with the client beforehand.
Additional charges may apply, including:

a weekend surcharge of €50 (applicable throughout the entire weekend);
-
an evening surcharge of €50 (daily from 18:00 to 00:00);
-
a night surcharge of €70 (daily from 00:00 to 06:00).
These surcharges may be applied cumulatively.

Article 5 – Emergency Services and Execution
In the case of emergency services, the work will be carried out immediately at the client’s request.
The client expressly agrees to immediate execution.

Article 6 – Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-off Period)
A statutory cooling-off period of 14 days normally applies to services.
For emergency services that are carried out immediately, the client waives this right of withdrawal.

Article 7 – Payment
Payment must be made immediately after completion, unless otherwise agreed.
Payment can be made in cash, by card, or via other offered methods.
In case of non-payment, collection costs may be charged.

Article 8 – Cancellation
Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment.
For cancellations within 24 hours, the following fees apply:

€45 if the locksmith has not yet arrived on location
-
€75 if the locksmith has already arrived on location
If the client is not present at the agreed time, this will be considered a cancellation.

Article 9 – Identification and Access
Upon request, the client must be able to prove that they are authorized to access the property.
The contractor may refuse to perform services in case of doubt.
​
Article 10 – Additional Work
If additional work is required, this will be discussed in advance.
Additional costs will only be incurred after the client’s approval.
​
Article 11 – Damage and Risk
The contractor performs work with due care.
The client understands that damage cannot always be avoided when opening locks.
Such damage is not covered by liability, unless there is gross negligence.

Article 12 – No Guarantee of Damage-Free Entry
The contractor cannot guarantee that a door or lock can be opened without damage.
The client accepts this risk in advance.

Article 13 – Liability
Liability is limited to the invoice amount of the relevant assignment.
The contractor is not liable for indirect damages.
​
Article 14 – Warranty
Warranty on products and services applies in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty.
The warranty is void in case of improper use or modifications by third parties.

Article 15 – Force Majeure
The contractor is not liable in cases of force majeure (such as traffic, malfunctions, or weather conditions).
Article 16 – Complaints
Complaints must be reported within 7 days.
We aim to provide an appropriate solution.
Article 17 – Applicable Law
All agreements are governed by Dutch law.
Disputes will be submitted to the competent court.

Article 18 – Amendments
The contractor reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions.
